The El Pomar Fellowship: A Place Where You Can Make a Difference

Millennials are confident, open to change, and in search of meaning.  In a recent article titled, “What Millennials Want Most: A Career That Actually Matters,” Forbes magazine suggests that millennials are not motivated by success in the same way previous generations were.  Millennials want to know what an organization stands for and how they, individually, can spark positive change in the world.  They are committed to changing the world, and believe they have the skills to make it happen.

Ambitious goals, but where to start? El Pomar’s Fellowship program is one great option for recent college grads looking for their next step.

The Fellowship is a two-year professional development program focused on cultivating the next generation of leaders for Colorado.  The program combines hands-on experience with a solid foundation in leadership theory. Through staffing El Pomar’s programs, Fellows learn many tangible skills that enable them to leave the fellowship and become community leaders in all sectors.

While at El Pomar, Fellows work side by side with engaged, thoughtful, and talented young people on a daily basis and are guided by accomplished staff and trustees committed to Fellows’ success.  El Pomar is committed to its mission of enhancing the lives of Coloradans, and Fellows have the opportunity to positively impact our state from day one.  For millennial hoping to make a positive impact (while having a lot of fun), El Pomar’s Fellowship is an ideal place to start.  The application for the class of 2013 is now available online, and the application deadline is January 21, 2013.  http://fellowship.elpomar.org/

Our group is new to Colorado. We have 30 years experience with the homeless causing poverty, we could use a fellowship being placed with us. We are now focusing on the causes of homelessness, Hunger, and other various misery causing faces of lost of human hope. It is poverty!

I am a 62 year old woman who would like to see the end of poverty for all-or most in the next couple of years.

While fellowships are a great way to start. This spry oldster would like to find people from other groups, to talk to. I put the formula together in Maine but CS has half as people as in the entire state of Maine.
