2010 El Pomar Fellows Arrive

El Pomar Foundation recently welcomed the 12 members of the Fellowship Class of 2010. The new Fellows are continuing to settle in at El Pomar and have finished their orientation, been assigned to programs and regions, and completed the Outward Bound mountaineering course. These new leaders show incredible promise, and the staff at El Pomar Foundation expects great things from them. Here’s a quick introduction to each new Fellow:

Preston Briggs
Mercyhurst College

  • Hobbies include: golfing, fly fishing, and spending time with family


D.J. Close

Major: Political Science

  • Pioneer Leadership Program Scholar
  • Studied abroad in Beijing, China
  • Executive Secretary, Sigma Chi
  • Hobbies include: sports and outdoor activities


Libbey Davis
Yale University
Major: History

  • Leader-Overland Bike Tours (France) for middle and high school students
  • Habitat for Humanity-Yale Chapter member
  • Co-directed freshman outdoor orientation program
  • Hobbies include: cheering for Boston sports teams, country music, running, and swimming
